The Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing Account reconciliations related to assigned entities in Stryker’s newly created Costa Rica Shared Service Center and additional support required to meet Month End Close activities or any ad-hoc request.
This is a Shared Services role related to standing up the Finance One optimization program
Essential duties & responsibilities :
Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities
Investigate and resolve unsupported balances with main customers
Provide support to business on request related to journal / recon backups
Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses
Prepare cash flow analysis and FEER reports
Financial Statement analysis
Prepare inventory calculations (UPI, revenue, E&O reserves)
Drive month end closing process and any request as deem necessary
Control and validate WBS activity.
Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP
Performs other related work as assigned by management
Education & special trainings :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
MS Office Suite
Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus
SAP, Oracle or QAD systems knowledge is a big plus
Qualifications & experience :
4-5 years (minimum) of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems
Experience of working in a shared service center across a global / large organization will be an added advantage
