Performs a variety of roles related with Credit analysis and Risk Management responsibilities. This individual is responsible for analyzing different sources of information : financials, credit bureau s reports, bank / trade references and historic data.

The Credit Analyst will also be able to determine and / or suggest credit lines to be granted even when a higher approval is needed based on the Credit Policy.

The analyst will provide documentation support for the credit analysis and decisions about customers, being responsible for maintaining documentation updated for each customer.

Control and monitor the Order Management process to determine the fact of releasing orders based on different credit factors.

Proactively work in the Portfolio maintenance s activities to ensure proper credit conditions are set and avoid unnecessary backlog of orders.

Key responsibilities :

  • Perform Credit and Risk Management analysis to determine credit limits of existing and / or new / prospective clients.
  • Adhere to credit policy and guidelines following the appropriate approvals based on the credit approval matrix.
  • Present to Management timely and accurate reports on Credit information, customer data and terms approved.
  • Portfolio maintenance s activity is key to ensure proper credit conditions are set based different factors such as : payment history behavior, financial scores, or any other credit risk factors, considering as well any increase or decrease on sales to maximize sales opportunities, cash collection while mitigate credit risk and minimize receivables exposure.
  • Make sure periodic reviews already scheduled are done on time, proactively work on Credit Limits exceeded (Ad-hoc reviews).
  • As part of the Lonza s Customer Service provide credit references / vendor references as needed, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Key requirements :

  • Technical or bachelor degree Business Administration, Accounting and / or any related field.
  • Level of English between 80% to 95% written and oral.
  • 2 to 3-year experience within the related position, proven ability to negotiate with sales / customers, data analysis of credit reports and order management processes.
