The Inbound Operations & Technology (IOT) organization in Costa Rica is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) with analytical and data visualization skills.
In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis on available data, identifying and filling data gaps, and using this data to improve receive processes for the North America Customer Fulfillment network.
As well as to innovate and build proof-of-concept solutions, test accuracy, and then work with the Program Management and supporting development teams to build robust, scalable software solutions.
In addition, this role strives to improve the flow of materials and information from Amazon’s vendors and sellers into our Fulfillment Centers (FC) and other downstream systems.
While our team focuses on North America, we always strive to build solutions that can be deployed globally.
As a member of the Supply Chain team you will partner with several teams including Warehouse Operations, IT, Retail, and Finance.
This position will require that you have the capability to independently ask questions and dive deep on our processes and provide recommendations for improvements to other business teams.
Written and verbal communication skills are a must in order to define high level business requirements for building software systems.
Our goal is to accurately depict the bottlenecks preventing our FCs from being efficient in their receive processes and build scalable systems that will eliminate these issues in the future.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, the selected candidate will work to enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
You will analyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities.
Your ownership of the scoping and design of new metrics and enhancement of existing ones will help support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability.
You will communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing. These analytics and metrics will help ensure we are focused on what’s important, enable clarity and focus, and delight our customers.
This position will support our expansion to other geographies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders.
Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
This is not a virtual position. Due to the current situation caused by COVID-19, if selected for this role, all necessary equipment will be provided for you to work from home.
However, once our company allows it and gives clearance, you will be required to continue working from our SJO15 building, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia.
