Job Summary

This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Service and Manufacturing Supervisor Department, verifying that all tasks are made according to the priorities and procedures established, providing leadership, guidance and comply with corporate and local regulation.

Also, the incumbent is accountable for all aspects of departmental budget and is able to solve complex problems with innovation and ingenuity.

Ensure the manufacturing process is managed in a highly cost-effective manner meeting or exceeding customer expectations and promoting achieving financial goal.

This position also assists General Manager in the interaction with the sales reps and the development of specific sales strategies for the Service and Manufacturing.


  • Supervise, hire, evaluate and coach his / her team members to successfully perform their work.
  • Plan and develop procedures.
  • Apply analytical and statistical techniques to develop a tactical demand forecast and replenishment plan supporting key product lines and / or customer segments.
  • Maximize VWRs investment in manufacturing inventory.
  • Analyze the data and make recommendations on increasing / decreasing inventory targets; establish ideal safety stock targets.
  • Prepare purchasing and inventory forecasts and financial projections.

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the cleanroom laundry operation. This includes management of the laundry employees, oversight of laundry equipment, wash quality, and most importantly assuring laundry is processed within a schedule to ensure timely, scheduled delivery.
  • Responsible for the sewing shop operation. Responsible for employee’s management, keeping track of customer orders, equipment maintenance and assuring quality and deadlines of the product orders.
  • Ensure compliance in regulations related to the field of responsibility and other applicable regulations to the business.
  • Supports location activities on safety and compliance issues.
  • Assists CR Senior Management on IOP and Budget-Forecasting process.
  • Prepares along with the Warehouse supervisor an annual maintenance program for Sewing(Manufacture) and Laundry(Services) equipment.
  • Prepares along with HR Coordinator and CR Senior management an annual training and associate development program for Sewing(Manufacture) and Laundry(Services) associates.
  • Prepares along with Finance Manager a purchases annual program to ensure a timely and efficient supply of goods and services required for the operation.
  • Develop and continuously update along with Warehouse Supervisor the EHS and quality standards for the Sewing(Manufacture) and Laundry(Services) business units.
  • Ensures the fulfillment of all quality, statutory, and EHS standards for Sewing (Manufacturing) and Laundry (Services) business units.
  • Develops an activity / task execution plan to assure the timely and efficient fulfillment of production orders of Sewing(Manufacture) and Laundry(Services) business units, according to quality standards and available resources.
  • Oversees the execution with the area s leaders.

  • Continuously analyzes ongoing processes within areas of responsibility to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensures the correct expense execution according to monthly forecast.
  • Prepares and reviews along with HR coordinator payroll for areas within responsibility.
  • Assists Senior Management for statutory compliance (Procomer, Setena, ICD, etc.).
  • Prepares and presents the following monthly reports to Senior Management : Monthly Production planMonthly purchases planMonthly production statistics including but not limited to (laundered items / manufactured items) production rates.
  • Maintenance program quarterly execution planTraining program quarterly execution plan

  • Assists General Manager in special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS (Education / Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Manufacture Management, preferable
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in manufacture planning and quality
  • 1 year of management or leadership experience
  • Experience in quality Management systems, and ISO 9001 : 2015 standard knowledge, preferable
  • Project Management certification, preferable
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

  • Excellent written, communication and presentations skills in English and Spanish
  • Strong computer skills in Excel
  • Organization and time management skills, ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a positive and effective manner
  • Project Management
  • Able to work independently
  • Problem solving, analytical skills and goal oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Demonstrated good team interaction skills
  • Organization and time management skills. Practices attentive and active listening.
  • SAP knowledge, preferable
  • Travel and Drivers licensed required

    The work environment characteristics and physical effort described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment.

    Typically works in a distribution warehouse (with or without air conditioning), laundry or sewing area, office or laboratory environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

    Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

    A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

    Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 25lbs.

    Associate may be exposed to industrial warehouse or laboratory environment. The associate may work near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is of normal range.

    Associate may be exposed to areas with Penicillin, Aspirin, Alcohol, Acetone and other fumes. Associate may be required to use personal protective equipment to perform duties.

    Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
