The Pfizer Digital Customer and Commercial Creation Center team creates comprehensive technology solutions for our external customers.

This includes all digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & devices) products, platforms, services and experiences in service of :


Patients and Caregivers


Clinicians & Study Participants

Payers, Hospitals, Pharmacies, Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Government Health Systems and Institutions

Solutions teams within the Customer and Commercial Creation Center are driven to ensure that every health system stakeholder is given easy access to the information and tools they need to manage the best possible outcome for patients.

Opportunities exist for the Customer and Commercial Creation Center in many disciplines including web, mobile, artificial intelligence, and the electronic medical record (EMR) space to empower our stakeholders through seamless user experiences to support the detection, diagnosis, access and adherence for patients in their health journeys.

We seek qualified and committed individuals to join our mobile platform engineering team in our mission to fulfill our company’s purpose as we advance breakthroughs that change patients’ lives by ensuring they have access to quality mobile apps and digital services that help with access to Pfizer’s medicines and vaccines.

We seek a mobile-experienced technical product owner, or engineer with interest in product ownership, to join our mobile platform team.

This platform supports hundreds of existing iOS and Android apps and is core to our ability to develop new apps and maintain those that exist at global scale.

We work with both natively developed apps and increasingly apps developed using hybrid technology (Ionic) and also PWAs.

What You Will Achieve / Role Responsibilities

As technical product owner for one of our teams, you will harness your technical skills and knowledge of delivery processes to help us enhance and support our mobile application development platform.

You will work with a team of mobile engineers, CI engineers, scrum masters, technical writers and other product owners to :

Improve our platform products, processes and services.

Understand new requirements and new technologies and help guide the problem solving and refinement / planning for what our teams need to implement

Manage the roadmap, priorities and delivery processes for your team in the pursuit of constant, incremental improvements to our products and capabilities

Work with others to foster a high performing and caring culture based on DevOps metrics and feedback loops

How You Will Achieve It

Embrace a DevOps mentality and ensure the model's success, building a culture of shared responsibility and transparency leading to higher quality and quicker delivery of output.

Leverage industry best practice and experience to ensure that security is embedded into operating practices.

Understand our mobile platform and its place in our organisation. Help decompose functional and technical requirements and provide leadership to your team, helping them to tackle the complex challenges.

Support the practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and releasing.

Establish close partnerships with relevant Platform Engineering and Operations colleagues to ensure alignment in all areas of development strategy, process, operational needs, DevOps culture and other areas relevant to excellence in the asset lifecycle of assets in the mobile space.

Bachelor's Degree

5+ years’ experience in the mobile development industry as a developer, tester or related delivery professional. An interest in mobile, the trends, the challenges and the opportunities

Evidence of increasing responsibility designing, delivering or maintaining large-scale, global software solutions

Good knowledge of the practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing.

Good experience and knowledge of operating in a DevOps environment

Good experience and knowledge of operating with Agile processes

Good team and people management experience in the pursuit of high performance software delivery outputs

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences

Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), GitHub, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud applications


Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

Experience working in information technology within the pharmaceutical industry

Business analysis and user experience skills

Experienced in Mobile Native UI, Auto layout, Networking, Persistency, Multithreading, Performance, Push Notifications, Concurrency, Offline Storage and Security.

Experience with the App release process to App Stores
