The Corporate Shared Services Center provides accounting services to the Americas region for Brightstar. The supporting functions include Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Reporting, Master Data Management, and Continuous Improvement.
These functions are enabled by Microsoft AX, and Oracle Hyperion. The center also provides support for certain transactions using legacy systems.
The Sr Intercompany Analyst, General Accounting will be the single point of accounting and operation contact with the client finance team, responsible for receivable and payable intercompany transactions and the corresponding matching between affiliates, ensures correctness of account reconciliation and reporting by proper application of policies and procedures.
Verify and validate balance variances at month / year end periods, providing sound explanation and trustworthy information about intercompany statemens and IC matching.
In this position the Sr Analyst will be the resident intercompany accounting expert problem solving interface and ensure US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP adherence and SOX compliance in all intercompany transactions.
Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for all intercompany transactions related queries, issues and questions from Corporate and Subsidiaries worldwide.
Manage and review Enterprise Management Tool BSCM / BSDM and send to processing all the items in AR approval Queue .
Analyze Intercompany AR and AP balances in order to create the off-set proposal and send it the subsidiaries for approval.
Prepare an Intercompany Payment analysis by running an intercompany AP open vendor report, analyze and create a pivot table;
send payment request to Treasury.
Prepare and analyze Intercompany Reconciliations by downloading detail reports from AX; reconcile all intercompany accounts and send it to the subsidiaries globally for their review.
Prepare and request any intercompany adjustment (any correction to be made based on the subsidiaries response).
Review the Matching report and deal with any difference with the subsidiary.
Approve withholding tax certificates and accrual creation on a monthly basis.
Oversee all audit and internal control adherence.
Lead monthly meetings to review and solve any intercompany differences, questions, corrections inventory related recognition or reversal.
Align intercompany accounting procedures with Corporate Accounting Group.
Provide guidance on to all subsidiaries : direct, resolve or address any question or issue intercompany related.
Ensures all KPI are executed, met and remediate gaps to ensure outages are eliminated.
Requirements / Skills
4+ years of general accounting in Shared Services experience
US GAAP & IFRS knowledgeable
Working knowledge of constructing and interpreting Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
English & Spanish fluency with verbal and written communication skills (at least 85% English fluency)
JDE / SAP / AX & HFM knowledge
Bachelor Degree in Public Accounting. CPA is a plus
