The VMware EUC Go To Market team is adding a Go to Market Data Analyst to provide analytic and strategic support to business operators and leaders.
Part of the BU, the Analyst also assists with analytical projects for strategic Sales and BU initiatives. The Analyst is responsible for producing perhaps the most important asset in our business : performance reporting.
The Analyst will bring together sound business tracking by ensuring sound data is being produced across the many data sources, producing descriptive statistics, and making suggestions on where the business should focus..
Use existing data sources and report templates and the expertise you bring with you to maintain the timely and accurate production of business-critical recurring reports
Work with several business managers to develop new analyses, reports, and input into dashboards to support Sales and multiple functional groups across the business.
Gain a solid understanding of key business processes and the consumer experience to aid in the identification of insights and trends
Use data narratives and KPI’s to identify insights, trends, and business opportunities and effectively present these to stakeholders
Assume a leadership role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of key databases that are populated by critical data.
Assist with financial modeling for forecasting and annual planning cycles
Have an understand of the concepts around perpetual to subscription transformation as it pertains to revenue generation.
Identify the future areas of growth of the business by looking at the pipeline and analyzing the business metrics.
BA / BS degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Marketing, or any related field
Experience working as an analyst in a direct response marketing business or team
Expertise in SFDC, Tableau, Datorama, Google Data Studio, SAP Analytics Cloud or other similar data visualization software
Outstanding, expert-level statistical analysis and mathematics skills
Highly skilled using Excel to do complex calculations, produce dashboard-ready tables and charts, and create financial modeling
Strong technical aptitude, ability, and desire to learn quickly
Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work independently with little supervision
Solid understanding of database technology, systems, and processes.
Passion for big data, data science, and / or marketing / business analytics
Ability to make formal and informal presentations to groups inside and outside the organization
Flexible and able to quickly shift mindset and change priorities in a fast paced environment
