Our Edge Platform team takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products.

In this role you will be continuously challenged in the Maintenance Operations Team as you learn and apply new skills and knowledge.

As a Server Tech Services Engineer, you will be responsible for :

  • Troubleshooting remotely and correcting emerging hardware problems using a ticket driven workflow
  • Documenting clearly and effectively work performed in the trouble ticket system for communication and archival purposes
  • Solving hardware problems by finding the root cause, fixing it effectively once and moving onto other challenges
  • Working in collaborative internal and external cross functional teams to achieve timely resolution of platform affecting issues
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, procedures and tools
  • Do what you love

    To be successful in this role you will :

  • Demonstrate experience working with server hardware troubleshooting, ticketing, escalation and other related operational concepts and processes
  • Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in an ever-changing environment
  • Have excellent communication and written skills to articulate technical information to internal teams and external customers
  • Work in a way that works for you
