TE Connectivity's Accounting Teams develop, implement and / or maintain one or more accounting systems : Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc.
in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
What your background should look like :
The position will report to the San Rafael Finance Lead, focused on std. costing, variance analysis, monthly close, spend control and analysis, as well as reporting and process improvements.
Key attributes of this role include :
Experience in different ERP’s, std. cost setting, variance analysis, FP&A (budgeting / forecasting)
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems.
Be a Subject Matter Expert for costing related topics, std. cost setting, variance analysis, cost reduction opportunities
Support the site financially, including in areas of control environment, guide the operations team through a strong analysis to impact the results.
Complete required close activities
Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports generated through ERP systems, the accuracy of the std. costing process and evaluation of manufacturing variances
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives assuring the site net productivity goals
Ensure strong working knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing inputs to continuously improve performance benchmarks
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting
3+ years of relevant experience.
Diversified Industrial Products / Manufacturing industry experience preferred / Medical Device industry experience is a plus
Prior experience in std. cost setting, cost accounting and FP&A roles
Proficiency in English
