This position will support the requirements that Business Locations needs related with Service and Maintenance Project Cost Controlling in a multi-disciplined organization.
It is located in Costa Rica Engineer Center.
This role reports functionally to : Operation Manager, Project Manager, Project Support Supervisor / Lead, Local Project controller or Local Finance Lead.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works 60-90 days in advance to create, distribute and follow up with customers on annual maintenance renewal quotes
Work closely with sales representatives and World Area order representatives on annual renewal quotes
Back ups Houston-based Customer Care administrator (as needed) with support ticket queue assignments
Requests Service and Maintenance Projects, agreements and financial plans setup in the Oracle application
Extracts data (running reports) from Oracle and Clarity
Requests and distributes Service and Maintenance project invoices
Recognizes Service Project Revenue
Controls costs of daily transactions
Receives and processes Customer Purchase Orders
Coordinates the closing of Service and Maintenance projects in Oracle
Performs document control or supervision of document control related with projects
May assist with resource level information. Ensure that the resource allocation plan is kept up-to-date
Provides basic planning support for multi-projects and develop schedules using information gathered from all levels of the business
Uncovers industry best practices in project administration and or project planning controls
Participates in project administration and project planning controls improvements within the industry center
Using Emerson Global Project Management Office processes (ensure our practices are within PMO guidelines)
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or any related field from an accredited institution
Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally & in writing, with all levels of Management
Passion for operational excellence with a commitment to delighting customer
Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. (Access and SharePoint will be a plus).
Must have excellent people skills due to interfacing with all levels of associates
Experience with Oracle Business System, Clarity, MS Project or any other similar software
