Job Description

The Partner Director will be a key accountable party for maximizing the relationship and driving agreed upon revenue from a list of assigned Payments & Banking Service Providers.

This will entail overseeing and ensuring delivery by both parties - of the contractual commitments within the Master Services Agreement.

These include product enhancements the partner will deliver, service level standards they will adhere to and ongoing functional support.

Sage’s commitments to the partner are to deliver, as a result of GTM activities, increasing payments volume, whilst enabling Sage to achieve scalable new customer growth and accelerated revenue.

The incumbent will be the primary contact for all relationships assigned into Sage’s key areas of support including Engineering, LSM, Field Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing, Legal, Finance, Sales and Indirect Partner Channels.

Ongoing partner communications focused on marketing and sales activities ongoing management & forward planning - to drive customer and revenue growth, SLA and partnership performance reviews to identify areas in need of attention and investment, product roadmap management and prioritization and future product development / innovation.

In addition to managing these relationships, there will be opportunity to support other Payments and Banking initiatives across the Sage product set.

Key Responsibilities

Ongoing Relationship Development Ongoing day-to-day communication, regarding payments / banking systems performance, delivery of key product enhancements on the roadmap, planned marketing and demand / lead generation activities and performance of the operating model.

Working with the Partner to ensure performance is aligned to agreed contractual terms

Monthly and Quarterly Executive Governance This is to ensure monthly and quarterly partnership governance meetings are convened and managed as a measure of success.

Contract Management This is to ensure Sage and the Payments and Banking Partner is delivering against the contractual commitments within the MSA or any other contractual agreements.

Performance Tracking Assembling a comprehensive dashboard to gauge performance against targets, encompassing service level metrics, customer acquisition, and payments volumes metrics.

Marketing Initiative Planning - A key part of this role is to ensure the achievement of expected new customers, payments forecasts, revenues, and customer goals, the incumbent will help define the marketing and sales activities and align with key Sage marketing, sales, and channel execution resources.

This role would also ensure that any enhancements or new product changes are delivered in all marketing channels including Sage marketing website resources, collateral, help sites, and client-facing materials.

Support and development of wider Payments and Banking Service Provider Strategy. In light of the dependencies of managing a key partner for Sage, a key deliverable will be to ensure continuity of relationships through cross-training colleagues and sharing best practices in the dynamics and

Qualifications :

  • 8+ years in Payments & or Banking space
  • B2B payments solutions domestic and international knowledge and experience
  • Payments fintech sector knowledge and experience e.g. prior experience working with a Fintech disrupter preferably in the B2B segment
  • White label’ and / or co-brand solution partnership management experience
  • Partner governance and management expertise and discipline
  • Ability to remain agile and adapt to change
  • Able to clearly articulate actionable feedback and guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Contract management expertise
  • Adept at understanding challenges / issues that require escalation at the Executive Governance level to help preserve the partnership
  • Excellent time management
  • Technical / professional qualifications :

  • Subject Matter Expert in Payments & Banking
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Banking, transaction banking, business banking product management
  • Local / regional payment system credentials including Faster Payments, BACs, Chaps, SEPA
  • Local / regional regulatory experience e.g. PSD2, Open Banking, etc
  • Accounting and payroll product experience
  • Integrated and cloud-based technology solutions
  • Accounting education or certification preferred
