The Opportunity

The Behance team is looking for a product-minded Senior Front End Software Engineer to help us positively impact the daily lives of millions of creatives across the world.

Our hardworking team of designers, developers, and community managers work hand-in-hand to create products that connect and empower creatives.

Our front end developers are tasked with delivering beautiful and highly usable interactions in our products. In this role, you’ll work directly with designers, community managers and other developers to implement and improve Behance's features.

We focus on using modern tools to create maintainable, modular code.

Are you a curious developer who loves to learn and experiment? From working closely with designers to solving interesting technical problems, this role is all about finding creative solutions to real-world problems.

What you'll Do

  • Work very closely with our product and community teams, refining new ideas and offering your technical expertise to shape our products
  • Review many small pull-requests, as empathetic, friendly, and thorough peer-reviewed PRs are a part of our culture
  • Provide a recommendation on the architecture of large features, taking pride in it being as simple and concise as possible
  • Develop and deploy working software to production. We pride ourselves on safely doing this many times a day and expect you to enjoy shipping code behind feature flags, running A / B tests, and making features available to the user with a flip of a switch
  • Responsibilities :

  • Use tools like Vue.js, Typescript, Sass, css-modules, and more to build modular, componentized code.
  • Influence design thinking among our development team. You believe that creating reusable code and consistent user experiences that work well together can empower engineers and designers to create better products.
  • Participate in pair programming and peer reviews. You’ll collaborate with other engineers on problems of all shapes and sizes, from code to new ideas and methodologies.
  • Provide feedback on how to make the products more usable and accessible. You will use our analytics tools, user research, and in-house community team to capture information and gain insights as to how people use Behance to drive new ideas.
  • What you need to succeed

  • A keen eye for design details and a proven record of delivering good user experiences.
  • Desire to build design systems and influence how they impact the product design and engineering process.
  • An interest in learning about data-driven web development and how to use that to make more delightful products.
  • Experience building clean websites that work across different devices and browsers beginning from initial concept to reality.
  • You care deeply about building meaningful, beautiful products that empower the creative world.
  • Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.

    Colorado Starting Salary : $133,400 - $173,200

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.

    Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
