Position Purpose & Summary Cargill Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (CSSP) is a global organization that strives to strategically source and leverage Cargill’s indirect spend;
this indirect spend spans Plant Materials and Services (MRO, Capital, Plant Services, etc.); Corporate Material and Services (travel, IT, HR, etc.
Chemicals, Energy; Packaging; and Ingredients. The CSSP team is responsible for managing over 9 billion in spend. The Regional Vendor Data Management Specialist is part of the Global Data & Vendor Management Office and will report to the Regional Vendor & Data Management Lead.
The Regional Vendor Data Management Specialist will work collaboratively with the Regional Vendor & Data Management Lead for the implementation of the Global Vendor Risk & Performance Strategy and the Global Data Strategy in the region.
This role will be key to enable the execution of the day to day operations and guarantee the governance process for vendor risk, supplier performance and data management is sustainable along time.
This role will develop deep knowledge of the E2E Vendor Management Processes including risk & compliance, onboarding process and performance of the vendor to provide regional visibility (requirements, needs, priorities, stakeholders, impacts, KPI’s etc).
This role will need to accurately balance between global standards and regional legal / compliance needs, and it is expected to have high involvement in projects / continuous improvement activities identified for the E2E Vendor Management Process.
This role will also be responsible for the supplier risk assessment analysis for all CSSP categories in the region aligned to Global Vendor Risk & Compliance standard processes.
It will need to keep CSSP team members updated on critical risk information about key vendors to help on the decision-making process.
The Regional Vendor Data Management Specialist requires to be updated on best practices, market trends related to risk & compliance management through having frequent connectivity with the Global Vendor Risk and Supplier Performance Management Lead and by exploring best practices and trends for the region.
It is expected this role to help socialization of the Risk Management Strategy as well as training CSSP team members in the region on critical information, best practices, tips, etc.

Provide status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule
Ensure preparation of daily / weekly / monthly reports as required by the manager
Create / Maintain documentation regarding process, procedure and training

Export and enrich supplier spend report.
Assign risk level based on Dun & Bradstreet database.
Export the result in PowerBI dashboard.
Communicate teams on recurrent basis.

Assess VRC Request and check completion.
Gather required documentation / information and perform risk analysis.
Request and expedite required documentation.
Perform or expedite related pre-qualification activities.
Follow-up and Expedite Food Safety or technical qualification.
Assign risk level on suppliers / proponents.

Keep updated on market trends and best practices for the region
Be in frequent connection with Global Vendor Risk and Supplier Performance SME to keep updated on market trends, best practices and updates on risk management strategy
Lead / Support / Execute continuous improvement initiatives (automation in data science)
Train, socialize CSSP members on risk management matters
Identify / Raise regional risks, constraints, gaps, continuous improvement needs on current processes and databases to Regional Vendor & Data Management Lead.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
3 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Operations / Finance Roles
2 years of experience in assessing supplier risk / financial evaluation
Strong English and verbal and written communication skills B2 (85%)

Proven experience to research and identifies problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaborative with others.
