Responsibilities

  • Utilizes a broad range of core AWS services (a.g. EC2, RDS, ELB) to maximize the capabilities and efficiencies of applications.
  • Owns creation and upkeek of all test and production cloud environments.
  • Adheres to and ensures best practices are followed for all server and service level components.
  • Acts in an operations capacity daily to ensure all processes are completing normally and without error
  • Implements infrastructure from beginning to end
  • Works with application development team to push code to doployment faster
  • Develops service analytics, monitoring, dashoboards, and alerting of solution performance
  • Ensures uptime and performs on / call duty for urgent off-hours needed.
  • Manage work using JIRA, including tasks, bugs, estimates and actuals.
  • Have familiriaty with continuos integration and deployment concepts.
  • Experience / Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, or related field.
  • English Proficient
  • 4+ years as DevOps engineer or equivalent 5+ years as senior engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud providers (especially AWS) a plus.
  • Familiar with and able to use a broad range of Core AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch and Lambda) to maximize the capabilities and efficiencies of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with distributed version control (GitHub)
  • Scripting (e.g. Python, JSON, YAML) and automation skills.
