The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of products and services to an established territory of accounts by utilizing the phone, e-mail, Internet, and other digital tools.
The territory is defined primarily by General Exporters (US based exporters), end users and and some small in-country dealers.
In addition, this person will be responsible of identifying new potential customer and creating activities to support business development with them. *Key Responsibilities*
Exceed sales and profit forecasts by maintaining existing customer relations and developing opportunities within an existing customer base.
Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to expand business opportunities at Buying Offices corporate accounts.
Develop business opportunities in zero-dollar accounts.* Meet and / or exceed call metrics on monthly / quarterly / annual basis.
Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products / services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data into the business plan;
introduce new products and services.
Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager.
Manage pricing and negotiates within territory to control profitability under corporate guidelines.
Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control.* Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
Maintain and develop commercial relationships with key suppliers to proactively assist all customers.
Make sure all systems and requirements related to compliance, pricing and accounts payable are up to date for each customer and work closely with the rest of support teams to maintain systems updated.
Use Salesforce as a work tool to introduce all opportunities, contacts, leads and tasks to support revenue achievement.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences
1-3 years selling experience
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results
Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer
Must deliver excellent customer service
Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.* Multilingual, English and Spanish
Computer proficiency in MS Office and the Internet
Must be willing to travel to customer locations, if needed
