You'll be a promotor of Catalina’s culture and values, partnering with business leaders to help them build their teams and make sure all people decisions are based on data.

The HR Manager is an empowered, proactive, hands-on team member responsible for delivering comprehensive human resources initiatives, programs and solutions in alignment of Catalina’s key business strategies.

This role is responsible for assisting managers with performance management, employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution and interpretation of employment policies and practices.

The incumbent is also responsible for talent acquisition strategy and sourcing of new talent into the Costa Rica Service Delivery Center.

As a Position of Trust under the Costa Rican labor legislation, this role is part of the Costa Rican leadership team, partners closely with the Country Director, and reports into the United States.

Responsibilities

Develop a strong understanding of the company's organizational structure, operations, values and culture to support Catalina’s vision, mission and strategies.

Provide coaching and solutions in all areas of HR, including performance management, employee relations, engagement, talent acquisition and management, and total rewards.

Work with functional HR Business Partner to rollout HR programs (performance management, engagement, salary planning, employee development plans).

Provide leaders with guidance on general employment matters, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, separations, and required documentation based on company policy and country employment laws.

Partner with Centers of Excellence to provide input on the design and development of HR programs, tools and processes.

Maintain and update local country specific policies, procedures, and employee handbook, in accordance with the Costa Rican Labor Code if applicable.

Support and make recommendations for learning and development and team building efforts.

Facilitate employee engagement efforts. Analyze findings and review trends with leaders and consult on action plan tactics.

Work with People and Culture team members around the globe to identify synergies and efficiencies.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and proactively strategize areas of opportunity to support a streamlined, efficient People and Culture organization and Costa Rica Operations.

Focus on the employee experience, including regular connections with employees to proactively identify, address, and / or resolve areas of opportunity and to further build upon strengths.

Deep focus one employee engagement.

Conduct exit interviews sharing learnings with managers and working with the functional HR Business Partner to identify themes for functional feedback summary reports.

Consult with leaders on the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.

In partnership with the Total Rewards Team in Corporate Headquarters, facilitate discussions with compensation for new jobs, adjustments, and promotions.

In partnership with the Total Rewards Team in Corporate Headquarters, develop benefit strategy and support renewal of benefit plans.

Provide day-to-day support of benefit plans to include but not limited to educating employees on the benefit package, resolving questions or issues with the benefits offered, performing administrative activities and communicating with local brokers and Corporate Headquarters, as needed.

Partner with other areas of the organization such as Payroll, to support the most satisfactory employee experience.

Support the onboarding of new employees into the organization including completion of all HR new-hire paperwork required based on local country regulations and facilitating New Employee Orientation for new-hires.

Lead end to end recruiting processes and sourcing strategy, including brand positioning and development of the employee value proposition.

Send out HR communications as appropriate.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

University degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.

Minimum of 8 years of HR management / generalist experience, with proven success managing Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, and other key areas related to the management of Human Resources.

Working experience and knowledge of Costa Rican payroll processes.

Expertise and deep knowledge of the Costa Rican Labor Code and labor law in general.

Experience with vendor management preferred, specifically with benefits and payroll.

Focus on Customer Service for internal and external clients, with innate desire to deliver the best HR experience for all stakeholders.

Impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to manage various responsibilities simultaneously.

Established ability to build relationships, internally and externally; consultative in nature and able to quickly form partnerships across all levels of the organization.

Highly organized; ability to balance multiple priorities.

Strong problem analysis and solving skills, demonstrating ability to consider implications of complex problems and solution and taking necessary actions to resolution.

Possess initiative and drive with strong desire to continuously improve processes and deliver against agreed objectives and service levels.

Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams requiring flexibility, patience, creativity, and the ability to adjust work style to match audience for unique business solutions and changing and / or conflicting priorities.

Team player with excellent collaboration, interpersonal presentation, and communication skills

Experience working with Workday, or any similar HRIS tool.

Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Fluent in verbal and written English skills.
