Solid knowledge and hands on experience of Cisco routers and switches and the protocol family TCP / IP as well as routing protocols BGP, OSPF, VRF Concepts
Experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree, in LAN configuration- Vlans, Trunks, Ether-channels , STP, SPAN, RSPAN, inter VLAN routing ,LAN security- DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection , CEF, QoS on catalyst switches , exposure in IP / ARP / MAC / Spanning-tree issues and configurations , troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers and other devices)
Troubleshooting at layers 1 through 4; understanding of higher layer behavior on transit networks
Knowledge of SSL (particularly server-based) and DNS admin experience. Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills for SSL / VPN solution.
Hands-on experience in the following : Cisco routing & switching platforms, Palo Alto; knowledge of F5 (LTM / GTM)
Preferred candidates with Cisco CCNA / CCNP / CCDP / certification.
You’ll work in our San Jose office in Costa Rica as part of the Network team in our MIS organization. The Network team is responsible for managing and supporting the key systems and infrastructure in the firm data center, office infrastructure and security.
You will be required to provide support for troubleshooting and problem resolution following connectivity problems, outages, or performance degradations.
You will be part of a team working on automated incidents as well as user requests that require solid networking expertise and team collaboration with other technical areas for quick resolution.
Additionally you will be working in new products and feature development when required along with a set of engineers globally.
