RVO2 is a global program that leverages virtualization technology to manage project engineering systems at multiple centers.
The RVO2 Support Engineer I is responsible for Tier 1 activities related to the support of the Worldwide Centralized Engineering Infrastructure in the local RVO2 center and remote support of other RVO2 centers.
Tier 1 is the first-line support that handles basic issues and activities such as systems deployment, resolution of support requests and assisting more senior personnel.
Activities should be performed following existing documented processes and standards under our ISO 27001 : 2013 certification.
Actively participates in a variety of activities of the daily operation, by providing Tier 1 support with assistance as required
Participates in the execution of low complexity internal tasks and duties
Participates in the execution of low to medium complexity troubleshooting following documented standards
Participates and observes interactions and troubleshooting with internal and external customers
Examples of activities :
Deployment of systems in a virtual environment
Resolution of support requests in a virtual environment, including support for Emerson applications and products such as : DeltaV, Syncade, Mimic and Project Data Lin
Requirements Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience level in related field.
0-2 years’ experience in :
VMware vSphere and VCenter
MS Windows server OS
Deployment of virtual machines in a large virtual environment
Networking (certifications desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of :
VMware Operations Manager
Dell blade and rack systems
ISO 27001 Information Security Management System
Experience using MS SharePoint and MS Teams
Familiar with Emerson Automation Solutions products, processes and standards
