The HR Manager is both a strategic business manager and a hands-on professional who advises and consults with departments on HR-related issues.
Performs various HR duties in such areas as employee relations, performance management, management coaching, benefits administration, employee education / training, compliance administration and workers’ compensation.
Manage general office operations, payroll and provide accounting support.
Counsel, coach and advise managers in all areas of HR
Partner with line management to model, shape and assess an organizational culture that supports the achievement of business objectives
Identify general employee training needs and individual management coaching needs
Provide effective reporting and analysis of HR data, including headcount report, organizational chart, HR metrics, etc.
Workers compensation management
Manage general office operations, including payroll and other accounting responsibilities
Perform other special projects and related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrated ability to partner, influence and interface with all levels of the organization
A high level of expertise in the HR function, including employee relations, performance management, employee and leadership development, training, compliance administration and workers’ compensation
Working knowledge of employment laws
Success in creating and driving effective professional development, employee relations, retention and rewards programs
Effective analytical skills and a proven track record of success with problem solving and process improvements

Relevant degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of HR experience with increasing scope and complex responsibilities in multiple HR areas
Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, and applicable labor laws and regulations required
At least one year of experience in finance, bookkeeping or accounting
Excellent written and oral communications skills, including fluency in English
Relevant industry experience a plus
Proficient with Word, Excel and other software programs
