Job summary :

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Customer Quality Engineer located in Alajuela, Costa Rica .

Reporting to the Quality Manager, Quality Engineer role involves working on attention and resolutions of Customer complaints, maintain quality engineering programs, standards, applications of lesson learned, and improvements within the organization.

What a typical day looks like :

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Coordinate the work of the process quality inspectors
  • Verification and implementation of inspection methods
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
  • Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
  • Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.
  • Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
  • Approves product, process, and equipment qualifications.
  • Coordinate and document the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, communicating and assigning those responsible and following up on the execution of said activities.
  • Coordinate that said changes and improvements are reflected in all documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans and Work Instructions.

  • Coordinate visit of Customers site if necessary
  • Coordinate with Corporate all the activities related with the Customers complaints
  • Verify that the procedures, rules and policies applicable to your area are complied with.
  • The experience we’re looking to add to our team :

  • Experience as Customer Quality Engineer in manufacturing industry (background in automotive or medical is also a plus)
  • BA / BS or equivalent work experience
  • Excellence communication and customer handling skills
  • Fluent English
  • Green Belt / Black Belt is also a plus
  • Experience in Measurement System Analysis, SPC, DOEs, 8D s, Customer complaints analysis
