Job Description

Support the MS Windows server environment and Software Asset -Management application including system components, inventory agent deployments and troubleshooting in virtual and physical environments.

Monitor and maintain on-prem Software Asset Management Application connectivity to inventory data sources MS SCCM, Centers, Jamf and collection servers.

Monitor and maintain secondary SaaS Asset Management Application connectivity and integration to several vendor SaaS portals, import user assigned software subscription reports for various products, maintain integration to Active Directory and identify licensing associated with terminated employees for reclamation.

Provide intermediate level SQL Server database maintenance services including data management, SQL Scripting, capacity planning and performance tuning.

Support network configuration of inventory collection servers and inventory agents for servers throughout the enterprise on multiple domains, firewalls and cloud environments.

Performs checks for all system and application processes, logs, and verify network system services.

Develop reports from Software Asset Management Application Reports Utility and SQL Server databases.

Maintain inventory of client and server computer records, including life-cycle status classifications within Software Asset Management tool.

Perform technical research leading to resolutions for system and application software limitations.

Escalate and coordinate resolution of break-fix incidents to Flexera technical support teams.

Create accurate, detailed technical procedures, operational documentation instructions and training materials.

Create and manage user accounts and groups including security configuration.

Experience :

3 to 6 years of experience in a technical position supporting server environments.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of TCP / IP networking, SCCM, AD and VMware vCenter technologies as well as scripting language skills for automation.

Expert knowledge of SQL Server, VBS and HTML scripting.

Experience in virtualization such as Hyper-V or VMware, including clustering strategies.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with little supervision (OS, network, hardware).

Cross-platform experience including Windows, Linux, AIX, etc.

Applied knowledge in networking protocols, active directory, routing protocols, VLAN’s, network prioritization.

Applied knowledge in virtual server, network storage, replication and backup technologies.

Applied knowledge with Cisco firewalls, switches, routers and VPN’s.

Education :

Strong communication, written and verbal skills.

Knowledge of Software Asset Management Automation tools, and of Flexera in particular, is a plus.
