As a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will be based in San José, Costa Rica. You will be working at Roche Services Americas, which is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region.
In this role you will be reporting to Human Resources Director.
Manage the compensation and benefits of Roche in accordance with corporate, regional and local policies and current legislation, in order to attract, retain and motivate the right personnel to achieve the company s mission.
Your main task will include :
Define and propose the compensation and benefits strategy of the company in order to attract retain and motivate the right personnel.
Keep updated the compensation and benefits system of the company in order to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Establish the entry level salaries, as well as adjustments for promotions or position s changes in order to reach the most accurate compensation package.
Develop the "Salary Round" process in order to provide technical support to the divisions in decisions taking about salary adjustments, promotions, performance bonus and others.
Manage stocks purchase program of the Company (Roche Connect) to comply with the policy of the company and support to the staff eligible for the benefit.
Design and propose new compensation strategies, benefits or new processes, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company.
Analyze and solve compensation problems with internal clients (Directors, Managers and Departments) to provide the appropriate support to the management of the company.
Control the variable payment programs of the company (Bonuses, Gratifications, incentives) to ensure its implementation in a timely manner.
Document C & B backup information to assist Directors in all related processes. (Decision making, historical, audits, etc.)
Act as a link and provide information on changes or updates of Compensations and Benefits (adjustments, new salaries, incentives, variables, etc.
to the Personnel and Payroll Administration department to ensure its correct settlement.
Define with the Business Managers, the budget of personnel expenses, to ensure the management of human resources of the company.
Develop scenarios and provide advice to Directors and Controllers regarding salary increases, current legislation, market adjustments, budget impacts (incorporations, terminations, hiring methods, etc.)
Develop local and regional reports and presentations about salaries, market movements, headcount, impact, internal equity comparisons, etc.
for management analysis and decision-making process.
Make and review the job valuation for new and current positions and propose the remuneration package (entry level salaries, market adjustments, promotions, performance, changes of responsibilities, transfers, etc.
according with internal policies.
Attend and manage market surveys of C&B (external consultants) in order to obtain reliable information and ensure the external competitiveness of the company.
Manage the fixed and flexible benefits packages of Roche .
As the ideal candidate for this role, you have a University Degree on Business Administration or Human Resources.
Also you bring 3 years in similar positions in Compensation and Benefits (preferred in multinational companies)
Your further qualifications are (must have and desirable) :
Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point),
Knowlegde in SAP and Costs
Analytical ability, organizational skills, criteria and creativity.
Skills in interpersonal relationships and communication.
Fully bilingual ( English-Spanish)
