Employee Services is looking for an experienced Data Specialist to join the Exits team. Employee Services is Amazon’s people operations team, supporting employees from their first day to their last day and most employment transactions in between.

As we increase automation and transform existing HR processes, Employee Services will need a strong Data Specialist who can own and execute data driven initiatives to build scale, efficiency and a positive employee experience.
As a Data Specialist you will support Employee Services Exits team in making high-impact, data-driven decisions. You will streamline processes by implementing technological driven solutions.
You will also work leading high-impact process optimization projects by working closely with program managers, operations managers, and senior leaders.
Work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy mechanisms, such as macros that support Exits automation initiatives for continuous improvement.
Retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into structured format to be used in automation initiatives for continuous improvement or problem solving.
Perform data-mining and analysis using tools including PeopleSoft (Oracle), MS Excel, and Amazon Redshift to identify trends and recommend opportunities for improvements.
Work in partnership with the Exits program managers to build reporting and other technical data driven solutions that support automation and streamlining of Exits processes.
Support business optimization strategies utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other quantitative fields such as Mathematics and Statistics, or equivalent experience.
Experience in an analytical role with the ability to interpret data, analyze results.
Advanced working knowledge of SQL, ETL, PowerQuery and Excel VBA.
Experience with Business Intelligence software such as AWS QuickSight, PowerBi or Tableau
Technical expertise regarding data models and data mining.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Overall 6 to 10 years’ experience with 3+ years of relevant experience in a data analyst / statistical analysis role.
5+ year of HR Operations experience.
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets (Excel, R, Python etc.)
Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and influence others.
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features.
Prior experience working in collaboration with UX designers for HCM systems.
Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
Green Belt Certification.
