The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the processing of accounts payable transactions.
Develops, implements and / or maintains one or more accounting systems : Journal entries, Accounts Receivable. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
May generate revenue reports for internal and / or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers / stakeholders.
May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
Review request instructions from the customer for Billing and Cash Application processes
Route service related credit memos, credit and rebills, write off’s, refunds or any request needed for approval
Process invoices, refunds, debit and credit memos, write off’s and cash application into the ERP system in a timely manner
Match payments to invoices or use the parameters defined for Cash Application
Review customer statements to ensure accounts are up to date
Resolve invoice discrepancies (Credit or Debit memos)
Respond to customer internal inquires (Customer Advocacy, Customer Service, Collections, Accounts Payable, FPM, FBO, IT)
Additional responsibilities :
Participates in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Ensures the effective fulfillment of objectives and deadlines assigned to the group
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and / or Human Resources.
Performs other duties as assigned by Management

LEADERSHIP & CONTRIBUTION
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Normally requires a Bachelor Degree from a four-year college or university
Typically, less than one year of directly related experience
May develop at this level for 2-3 years
Ideally Intermediated proficiency in English.
Excellent problem solving skills, thoroughness, attentive to detail and decision-making skills.
Team player, strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Participate, develop, test, and implement projects with a medium-low level of complexity that require medium to low-supervision.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ideally proficient with computers and standard software programs (Excel, Word, e-mail, etc.).
WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit for extended periods of time, including constant use of computer keyboard and tracker devices (mouse, track ball, etc.)
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
