The main objective of the PM / Scrum Master is to lead key projects using mostly Agile methodology and ensure prompt communication between stakeholders and high quality on-time deliverables.
Initially this position will support the RPA program within the Shared Services PMO ensuring quality, resources, request pipeline, budget among others.
As a key member of the Shared Services PMO the PM / Scrum Master will not be limited only to one program but also participate in any other key initiates that may benefit from an Agile proficient PM
Key Responsibilities :
Organize and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, Sprint reviews, retrospectives and demos with team and Product Owner / stakeholders
Coaching team members on agile principles and providing general guidance on agile best practices.
Ensure core agile principles are followed and practiced within the scrum teams
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint / release progress to their teams and management
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Make recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, responsiveness, and quality
Assist key program managers to track demand pipeline and set priorities based on impact and resource availability
Ensure the development teams are practicing the Agile principles and SCRUM Best Practices
Identify, own and remove impediments for team on a daily basis
Responsible for identifying sprint and project risks and offering any potential mitigation strategies
Track metrics of team progress, productivity, success, budget (if required) and generated savings.
Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
Empower the team to self-organize
Provide visibility and status on active projects on a regular basis to upper management and other stakeholders
Actively participate in any current Shared Services initiatives as requested.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Management or proven participation in projects based on PMI principles
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in Agile methodology and as Scrum Master
Experience in Scrum tools
Ability to drive accountability and agile adoption
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Certification or through understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
Be able to self-direct and handle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Minimum of 1 year of experience applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory as a Scrum Master for a software development team
Preferred Additional Skills
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience.
Certifications : Certified Scrum Master, PMP certification
Knowledge in Lean or other CI methodologies
Change management experience
Good knowledge and / or experience with successful Agile techniques : such as Affinity Estimating, User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Agile Games
Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment with the ability influence
