Education / Experience and Skill Requirement
7+ years of relevant financial experience.
Prior forecasting and reporting experience.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, MBA or CFA, a plus)
English, oral and written knowledge at fluid level is a must.
Exposure to multidimensional reporting applications (Hyperion Planning and Essbase a plus)
Superior skills with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement reporting
Strong communication skills including senior stakeholder management
Exposure to the general ledger software (e.g. PeopleSoft Financials)
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Demonstrate good track record of leading a team
Implement automated quality control checks in files and perform detailed review of deliverables.
Identify process commonalities to align similar activities, where possible.
Key areas of oversight include : Builds and loads for non-compensation and non-operating expense budgets and forecastsMonthly and quarterly reporting P&L and / or expense presentations.
Global headcount reporting (by-location, by-line of business, by-division, etc.)Responsible for expense builds related to company-
wide legal entity budgeting and forecasting.Support divisional and consolidated expense actual / budget / forecast variance analysis during the monthly / quarterly close process.
Develop new reporting or analysis to provide insightful information to business and finance management.Recommend improvements / enhancements to current processes and reporting.
Participate in special projects as assigned by Finance management.Implement and act in accordance with Moody’s Corporation, Moody’s Investor Services and Moody’s Analytics Information Security Policy.
Identify risks if working with external parties.Ensure information security when dealing with customers.
