About the role

The OTC Cash Application Clerk, reports directly to the OTC Cash Application Team Lead in support of its mission to leverage resources on a global scale through the use of shared services to reduce costs, maintain or increase customer service, and build new capabilities.

Responsibilities include the delivery of Best In Class OTC processes in accordance with negotiated Service Level Agreements.

OTC Cash Application Clerk will execute process within the following broad functional areas :

  • Cash Application Streamline cash application process. Ensure that incoming payments are accurately processed and reconciled in a timely manner
  • Deductions Settlement Ensure customer deductions and discrepancies are properly handled and resolved
  • Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Process daily cash receipts, unapplied cash and prepaid cash accounts.
  • Track all unapplied cash.
  • Process and reconcile cash receipts to customer invoices / statements. All cash receipts must be reconciled in SAP.
  • Process account adjustments and customer payment discrepancies.
  • Customer incoming payments are correctly posted into the customer account.
  • Provided to the audit all information requested.
  • Process month-end transactions related to reconciliations Sub-Ledger to the General Ledger

    COSTA RICA Leadership and active participation in the GBS - COSTA RICAS governance processes Process Efficiency & Effectiveness : Ensure incoming payments are properly applied and validated following the GBS -

    COSTA RICA SLA timelinesContinuous Improvement : review and provide input to process improvement ideas and prioritization, ensures that work plans are completed for improvement initiatives and monitors implementation progress, assist in conflict resolution process work and actively manage the escalation process, ensure that additional process work is successfully transitioned into the GBS - COSTA RICA model

    Critical experiences for success

    To be successful in this role you will have / be :

  • Process and reconcile cash receipts to customer invoices / statements. All cash receipts must be reconciledin SAP
  • Ensure customer incoming payments are correctly posted into the customer account, clearing the correctinvoice following the BBS - COSTA RICA SLA timelines
  • Process Cash Application month end activities and ensure closing on time
  • Process customer deductions in order to identify process improvement areas within the operational areas ofthe organization.
  • Business and process knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and successfully manage a rapidly changing environment.
  • Languages : Spanish, and English 70%
  • Schedule Flexibility : Monday to Friday 5AM-2PM Experience in the Spirits and / or FMCG industry is a distinct advantage
  • Two years of experience working across one more of the Invoice to Cash process areas : cash application,credit management, invoice collection and deduction settlement.
  • Experience in Shared Serviced Services environment preferred.Relevant education : B.S. degree in a financial, accounting or business-related field preferred
