Trans Services Sr Analyst

Job Purpose :

CTE (T&E) Manager is responsible for supporting and leading the team that processes travel and employee expense reimbursement claims.

This position interacts with all levels of management, including senior management from various businesses.

Job Background :

Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC) Citi Service Center (CSC) is a "shared services" organisation with a concentration of resources leveraging common activities across NAM-

Mexico-LATAM Supply Chain Operations. The ESC CSC leverages Citigroup’s scale and efficiencies in common activities that are not core to any individual business, with a goal of lower cost and higher service levels.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Talent development and management. Contributes to the establishment of an elite team that earns the trust, admiration and respect of those we partner with to attract, develop and retain world class talent.
  • Full leadership and supervisory responsibility of a group of professional employees. Provides operational leadership and direction to the team through regular 1 : 1 meetings for individual coaching and feedback, and team meetings.
  • Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to provide value-added perspectives or advice. Strong communication skills are required.

  • Reporting to the Regional Head of Supply Chain Operations, this position is responsible for managing the team that takes care of all aspects of Citi’s Travel and Expense reimbursement requests coming from employees, including providing user support and guidance, ensuring policy compliance and acting as the primary liaison with Concur, Citi's Travel Management and other third parties as necessary.
  • Coordinates and connects multiple areas of expense and reimbursement.

  • Leads the team that reviews and processes expense reports and records related journal entries and adjustments for timely processing.
  • Leads the team that reconciles Concur to the applicable general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provides travel and expense report data as required.
  • Works in partnership with ESC Transformation to identify process improvement opportunities, acting as main contributor for ideas and solutions.
  • This position has the final accountability for the implementation of these improvement opportunities.

  • Accountable to ensure T&E processes implementation and work migration according to the Country Operating Model.
  • Accountable for team members CEMP knowledge, interpretation and processing accuracy. Partners with ESC Quality Control and Risk & Control to ensure accurate policy interpretation and compliance.
  • Develops and maintains training materials and other job aid documentation for his / her team’s new employee onboarding.
  • Maintain strong operational processes to ensure there are no reportable Operational Losses.
  • Understand stakeholders (Director level +) requirements on rejected reports, and collaborate as a partner to find a proper solution in alignment with the Citi Expense Management Policy (CEMP).
  • Provides support for successful reviews on all planned Internal Audits
  • Achieve effective Manager Control Assessment (MCA) rating for ESC operations before EOQ4 2017.
  • Ensure timely completion of open control issues (open corrective action plans, audit business issues or regulatory issues)
  • Support corporate wide divestiture and acquisition activities.
  • Qualifications

    Knowledge and Experience :

  • Required : 5+-6 years of previous people management experience
  • Required : Bachelor's Degree (in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Commercial awareness
  • Required : experience of working in an international context
  • Required : Process improvement skills
  • Exposure to Robotic Process Automation implementations is a plus
  • Experience with T&E applications (i.e. Concur) is a plus
  • Desired : experience in a professional travel position or finance role with responsibility for travel operations
  • Skills :

  • Excellent personal communications skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Experience with Access and Excel a plus
  • Good level of numeracy skills, financial / accounting skills is a plus
