Job Purpose : Support the Integrated Close Accounting team on US Income Tax processes, as such this person will teach, coordinate and prioritize month end activities.
The person in this position will need propose and take the necessary actions to ensure minimal percentage of error resulted from the services provided.
In addition, strategic thinking and planning will be part of job responsibilities mainly to : accommodate VOE initiatives, standardize our tasks to avoid geography orientation and move to process based, automate functions that are developed manually and assign goals, create career path for individuals and backups. Key Responsibilities :
Determine and provide (if applicable) training that will conduct the team to the next level of knowledge desired.
Act with integrity to be a role model.
Produce and analyze team operations metrics.
Be accountable for their area of support providing daily status during critical cycles.
Perform Pre and Month End related tasks and processes
Generate advanced reports.
Consolidate the System metric reporting.
Participate of the System testing (UAT’s , enhancements , implementation).
Approve daily journals uploaded in TGL, DBS, Alfa, CitiGL, P2P, SMART, CRC and Cosmos as required
Education : Bachelor’s degree or advance studies in accounting / finance. CPA or MBA is a plus
Specific Knowledge :
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Access, MS Excel, Power Point)
100% Bilingual (English-Spanish).
Knowledge of system functions. Experience with systems implementation is a plus
Thorough understanding of accounting and financial planning and analysis concepts
Previous Experience :
Between 3 to 5 years of proven financial experience on finance or accounting. Shared services is a plus

Minimum of 3 years of accounting or control experience.

Good project management skills, be a self-starter who is able to work independently and be flexible enough to handle multiple tasks.

Relationship skills and experience partnering with multiple businesses as well as the ability to influence and team with colleagues at all levels are necessary.
Proficiency in Planview, PTS-W, PeopleSoft, Pearl, P2P, CitiGL, TGL and NACB general ledgers and financial systems is a plus.
PC skills including Excel, Word and ad hoc reporting systems.
CPA or MBA is a plus.
Experience in large, complex environments within Shared Services is a plus
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through all levels of the organization
Ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve goals
Demonstrated career progression and a strong understanding and application of technical accounting principles and policies
Leadership and team building skills are vital; must have the ability to guide staff through change management initiatives

Contribute to a operating model and a supporting system that can be replicated and implemented across Countries / Business within Citi.
