Position Summary :
This position is responsible, under direction of the CI Leader, for the execution and ongoing management of business excellence initiatives.
The role leads or support strategic, process improvement projects in conjunction with site goals and imperatives for increasing revenue, optimizing cycle time, reducing defect rates and improving customer satisfaction.
The role is accountable for delivering tactical results from the application of Lean, 6σ methodologies and effective change management.
Essential Functions :
Under direction of CI Leader, leads or supports tactical process improvement projects in the division delivering tactical results in conjunction with site goals and objectives
Lead or support initiatives that will yield greater productivity and efficiency to enable growth
Acts as a cross-functional change agent to lead or support sustaining business process improvement for the division
Act as a leader or individual contributor in the implementation of operational and business excellence best practices.
May provide work direction and guidance to exempt and / or skilled non-exempt levels employees; may be asked to evaluate performance and assist in career development planning for subordinates
May suggest and develop new initiatives for the organization that add value to the operational and business excellence program
Lead or act in supporting role projects using Lean, 6 Sigma or other tools estimating levels of effort and resource requirements and working with appropriate staff to understand scope
Communicates project status by preparing standard reports and by participating in departmental and / or customer project status updates and business unit reviews
May support Manufacturing Systems initiatives related to Metrics and Production Aids
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporative and Divisional policies and procedures
BS in Industrial Engineering, Business or technical field
Strong computer software knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Autocad, Project)
Medium to Advanced English language skills (written / verbal)
1+ years of related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
Basic knowledge and demonstrated experience on Lean Manufacturing practices
Preferred qualifications and education :
Knowledge and demonstrated experience on Lean technical principles (Value stream mapping, Kaizen, Standard WIP definition & simulation, Constraint theory, Visual management, workspace and labor productivity maximization, etc.)
Proven ability to facilitate or act in supporting roles for cross functional change that creates value for the business
Statistical analysis knowledge (DOE, SPC, Sampling, Minitab software knowledge)
Knowledge and experience of FDA, GMP and ISO guidelines.
Lean Manufacturing, Black Belt / Green Belt or equivalent certification
