3M is seeking a R&A Team Manager DW for the IT Reporting & Analytics (R&A) Team. This position will be located in Belen, Heredia as part of our Global Service Center in Costa Rica.

This position is responsible for handles a variety of non-routine and difficult inquiries. The role has a considerable impact on the direct work group / team, providing technical coaching and leadership to co-
workers. Performs complex research and analysis as well as investigates business needs with respect to information management.
Directs and coordinates efforts to maintain and upgrade current systems. Most senior level positions. Carry people management responsibility as well as technical responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Adapts differing techniques and methods to deal with variations in work conditions and operations to solve complex problems.
Leads the development and implementation of improvements and / or solutions to work processes and tools. Reports to Senior Team Manager on key milestones and critical business initiatives.
When necessary, the Senior Team Manager is consulted for guidance in problem areas
Makes recommendations that impact how financial resources are generated or spent
Initiates actions and leads or coaches employees during a project or trains new employees within functional disciplines.
When leading projects, accountable for the activities and outcomes of the project team. Writes project plans, linking projects to business strategies.
Provide input on performance of team members to Senior Team Manager
Handles a wide variety of non-routine and difficult inquiries where the solution is not immediately apparent. Most complex problem solving may require developing solutions for complex and diverse issues that may be interrelated, requiring significant interpretation and the use of strong analytical skills.
Applies extensive experience and knowledge of related and non-related precedents and policies
The role has a considerable impact on the direct work group / team, providing technical coaching and leadership. Decisions may affect the operational effectiveness of multiple work groups or teams, important programs in the department, the next higher organizational tier, and / or related activities within the direct functional area
Work tasks encompass concepts within Reporting & Analytics which may include more than one department / location. Working tasks might include :
Defining Data Roadmap
Defining Data Standards and Data Governance
Provide PoV on upcoming technologies
Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
Technical Peer Review, Mentoring and Coaching
Experience in Agile Methodology and usage of tools like JIRA
Experience in Data Services and workflow creation
Exposure to HP Service Management & HP Quality Center
As an expert, the Team Manager DW provides consulting assistance to Senior Team Manager
Negotiates and counsels at an advanced level with an audience which may not be knowledgeable in the subject area. Demonstrates solid persuasion skills and manages differing interests and perspectives
Actively participates in relevant corporate programs / initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards
General Qualifications / Experience :
IT Bachelor level university / college degree
Master’s degree is preferred
9+ years relevant working experience in IT related field
Supervisory experience is preferred
Functional knowledge on Supply or Demand or Support
Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skills
Strong project leadership and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of information technology opportunities and the ability to evaluate ideas and make proposals
Ability to multi-task is inherent in the job responsibilities
Ability to team working is inherent in the job responsibilities
Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish
Must be able to travel internationally if needed
Technical Qualifications / Experience :
Working knowledge of standard BW extractors
Working knowledge on extractors from SRM or Vistex or GTS or EWM and TM
Experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) lifecycle implementation including data modeling, extractions, data staging, loadings, transformations
Understanding the concepts of LSA and LSA++ for SAP BW on HANA
Experience in creating optimized Data Acquisition Layer (PSA), Quality and Harmonization layer (Transformation, WODSO & ODSO) and Reporting Layer (Standard DSO, Cubes, Composite Provider, Multi-Providers & Info set)
Understanding the usage of Key, Dimensions, Various BW Object Properties and the impact for an Optimized Design
Deep knowledge on BI ABAP to write complex Transformation Rules & Routines, APDs
Data extraction (SAP & Non-SAP) and building complex transformations in BW
ABAP skills to create complex Functional Module based Generic Extractors and CMOD enhancements for Standard Extractors
Deep knowledge on the Full, Delta and Queue Mechanism in SAP for BW Extractors
Strong understanding of SAP ECC Transactional processes data and SAP Master Data
Experience in Process Chain Monitoring, BW Administration Process & Transport Connections
Knowledge of HANA Modelling in Information Views such as Attribute, Analytical, Calculation View & SQL based Views
Modeling Functions using Hierarchies, Creating Restricted and Calculated Columns, Filtering Data, Using Variables and Input Parameters, Implementing Currency Conversion and Table functions, Decision trees
Migration of Bex to HANA and understanding the HANA functions versus Bex Functions
Hands on experience in SQL Scripting using various Data Type extension, Variables, Procedures and Best Practices for HANA Modeling
Knowledge of HANA Security
Experience in SLT and consumption of the Tables in HANA
Experience in analysis and performance tuning in Native HANA
