Purpose of this positionThis position is an extension of the Commercial Operations organization in US. The Commercial Operations Supervisor is responsible for performing tasks for the Medical Products Division (MP, ACC, Renal and BIO).

He / she works collaboratively with Sales, CMT, Customer Service, Customer Master, Supply Chain & Chops teams based in United States, as well as external wholesalers / distributors.

He / she may require to be in contact with mid / high-level managers and directors depending on the situation through different means of communication.

The supervisor is expected to provide expertise and perform associated transactional processes for US Hospital Products, audit support compliance and monitoring.

Execute the service level agreement with the service delivery partner through establishing metrics, recording performance against those metrics, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes operational results by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Defines, completes and monitors operational plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities;
  • monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results to upper management.

  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points; monitoring personnel and resources.
  • Develop, motivate, coach and provide challenging tasks for all team members.
  • Keep close communication and frequent feedback to all team members.
  • Support the career development of the collaborators both within their current position as well as in situations where employees move on to different roles within Baxter’s organization.
  • Build an operational structure for each process implemented in BAS.
  • Document all processes to guarantee business continuity (manuals, narratives, controls).
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, policies and procedures.
  • Work on strategic plans to achieve the following along with CSS team members (I.e. but not limited to) : Quality Control evaluations, QC results communication, alignment meetings with US teams, refresher trainings, line hold audits (closed / open JDE-
  • SP & duplicated lines), contracts backup plan (Phase I / Phase II activities), chops backup plan (Phase I / Phase II activities) and others.

  • Complete periodic tasks as required by the business (I.e. but not limited to) : Contracts metrics & reporting and Communication to local and US Managers, frequently work distribution review, CSS SharePoint maintenance & support, continue working on CSS new structure, daily follow up of outstanding requests, monthly team meetings, resolve escalations for Contracts & Chops teams and others.
  • Scope

    Responsible for leading Channel Operations and Contracts teams in BAS Costa Rica. Strong decision making responsibilities.

    Development, analysis and improvement of new strategies, policies and procedures, including critical indicators and SLAs, ideas for action plans and team engagement.

    Selection and hiring of new employees. New hire training and performance management. Key liaison between CR and several organizations within Baxter : Credit and Collections, Sales, Customer Service among others.

    Requirements

    BASIC EQUIVALENCE Bachelor Degree in business administration or equivalent career. N / A Minimum 6 years of experience. N / A Demonstrated experience in similar positions.
