The Manager, Logistics Network Operations is responsible for the end-to-end service and cost of the logistics delivery functions required for the movement of product within the Pfizer Intercompany Operations network.
Ensures an efficient and effective set-up of logistics delivery functions to support all supply flows from various shipping sites into NORAM / LATAM markets.
Activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Monitors the overall logistics performance taking into account compliance, agility, cost and service
Drives change management and operational effectiveness efforts with focus on customer satisfaction
Manages external logistics provider and their control towers (primarily air / ocean transport) to ensure required objectives / outcomes are achieved
Identifies value creation opportunities across the network and drives operational implementation
Support Pfizer’s NORAM / LATAM Above Market Planning (AMP) hub with monitoring critical supply flows from E2E perspective under adherence to logistics delivery processes and standards
Help Intercompany Operations achieving their Zero Defects targets using quality risk management methods
Actively contributes enhancing the end-to-end mindset, behaviors and capabilities of the Logistics Delivery team.
Connects Logistics Delivery Operations with all E2E stakeholders (ex. AMP hubs, customer service, plants, markets, regional supply chain, supply chain quality operations etc.
Owns issue resolution and corrective action planning for all Logistics Delivery Operational issues. Sets up and proactively manages an effective stakeholders’ communication framework and works closely with other Intercompany Operations areas to better support and represent Intercompany Operations at AMP Hubs
Develops and leads monthly operational review meetings (ORM) with the NORAM / LATAM AMP hub to monitor destination based KPI trending and drive performance improvements and feed critical information into freight forwarder ORM and quarterly review meetings
Contributes to quality risk management (corrective and preventive actions, Trackwise system) and partners with logistics solutions and compliance, logistics centers and quality colleagues on lane qualifications
Manages external logistics providers to ensure service levels and capacity are appropriately matched to business and changing regulatory requirements and investigate opportunities for further value creation improvements through optimizations, consolidations, improved physical routing, risk minimization etc.
Deliver a bottom-up and activity based annual budget for selected NORAM / LATAM shipping sites and markets in close collaboration with business partners such as Logistics Delivery Operations colleagues, Local / Regional Supply chain and the Site colleagues
Utilizing Operational Excellence and continuous improvement principles, identify creative, sustainable solutions that achieve required service, cost and quality results.
Create, manage and prioritize an ongoing list of opportunity projects. Monitor results of completed projects to ensure sustained compliance.
Understand and communicate to all stakeholders’ future service and cost impacts resulting from changes in market conditions, network changes, product volume / mix changes, mode changes, etc.
Proactively manages, reviews and reacts to Key Performance Indicators and coordinate operations and business reviews with logistics providers and internal stakeholders.
Leverages Logistics Delivery Platform tools capabilities. Collaborate actively with Intercompany operations enabling teams (Logistics Platform Services, Logistics Centers, Business Technology) to understand and further develop strategies and tools to support Logistics Delivery Operations functions, especially related to operations KPI’s, planning and optimization, and visibility processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Management), Supply Chain or Logistics is required. A bachelor’s degree in another field may be considered if accompanied by appropriate work experience.
Master’s degree is preferred.
Required Experience / Skills :
5 7 years Pharmaceutical and / or high volume Consumer Goods industry experience or 10+ years’ experience with a global or NORAM / LATAM logistics services or freight forwarding providers
Strong knowledge in road freight (primary international, last-mile knowledge is an asset)
Project Management experience / skills
Strong cross-functional relationships
Ability to work with a lot of variables and data and synthesize to drive management decision making
Demonstrated effective communication with a variety of internal and external partners and customers as well as senior management.
Good computer literacy (MS Office, Transportation Management Software, ERP, etc.)
Lead change management processes

Experience within temperature controlled logistics
Previous supervisory experience
APICS CSCP, CPIM certification or Green Belt
SAP Sales and Distribution & BI experience
