Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Approve balance sheet reconciliations.
Approve journal entries.
Open items reporting, follow-up and escalation with various departments.
Perform month-end close responsibilities with a complete understanding of the close process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant financial statements.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications.
Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
Assist in projects on process improvements.
Provide training to other team members.
Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies
At least 3 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies.
Knowledge of common accounting procedures.
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner.
Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy.
Enterprise resource planning ERP software for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, BlackLine.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Proficiency in English.
Portuguese preferred but not required.
Certifications / Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required, OR equivalent qualification OR significant development after specialized vocational training OR substantial professional development after High School Degree.
Strong collaboration skills and effective in a team environment; proven ability to effectively transfer knowledge to build team competence.
Highly responsive and committed to results with a strong customer orientation.
