MSD's Business Service Centers (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes.

The BSC Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.

The StS (Source to Settle) Invoicing Manager will be accountable and responsible for the execution and delivery of invoice processing and troubleshooting for Americas.

Scope of position includes handling and resolving internal and external stakeholder requests pertaining to Invoicing process, SOX controls, documentation and adherence.

Responsibilities of this role is includes leadership of a group of invoice analysts and to enable the BSC STS Operations based in Costa Rica to partner with its Finance and business counterparts to ensure that business objectives are sufficiently met.

Main Responsibilities :

Operate with sense of full responsibility for the STS Invoicing team, including operational performance, people management and development, and adhering to compliance requirements together with supporting and implementing on transformation requirements

Review and analyze existing procedures and seek to incorporate changes that will improve the department and / or BSC

Act as a Business Partner to the market Finance Leads and business stakeholders; play a key role in the development of global financial processes and understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of MSD’s financial processes and systems

Assist in internal / external audits to ensure all appropriate controls are being followed

Maintain good relationships with key leaders in STS, Expense Management, and work strategically with these partners

Manage escalations as required on STS Issues handled through the Invoicing Team. Resolve transactional issues as needed and address process performance anomalies

Assist the STS Associate Director to establish and grow the America’s STS function

Lead, participate, and support special projects as requested by leadership

Main requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company including demonstrated experience in leading LATAM regions

Minimum of 4 years of

experience Leading AP processes and teams working with Latin America and North America countries

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory position (people manager : team leader, supervisor, coordinator, first level manager).

ERP system experience and competency (SAP required)

Strong knowledge of accounting processes

Business-level English, Portuguese and Spanish language skills (speaking and writing)

Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required

Works effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure and with a high degree of professionalism

Preferred requirements :

Pharmaceutical industry a plus
