Job summary :

This position is responsible for gathering data, analyze and calculate accurate inter-company billing amounts for selected IC billings, including but not limited to : US Global Support Service Fees, APAC, EMEA, LA, and GSC billing.

Provide complete accounting services for financial statements in SAP and other systems with the required analysis as to ensure financial processes and controls are in place to deliver accurate financial information fully compliant with U.

S. GAAP and 3M Global Financial Standards. Candidate must be : advanced in analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation of data generated by corporate reporting systems, proven problem solver with a client service and quality-

oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills and, experienced with 3M accounting and business systems including Peoplesoft, SAP and Qlikview.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  • Gather data, analyze and calculate accurate inter-company billing amounts for select Intercompany billings, including but not limited to : US Global Support Service Fees, APAC Regional billing, EMEA regional billing, LA regional billing, and GSC billing.
  • Ensure all billing supporting documentation, databases, and queries are maintained in audit-ready format
  • Create inter-company billing invoices in SAP following detailed procedures.
  • Track and analyze AR payments received via GloPay or other bank account from inter-company customers.
  • Apply payments received to inter-company Accounts Receivable (AR) customer accounts in SAP to close paid invoices.
  • Prepare and distribute AR statements and AR aging analysis monthly as required by Global Financial Standards.
  • Ensure inter-company Accounts Payable (AP) invoices are correctly billed and route as needed for payment in SAP.
  • Review the SAP AP F110 payment register and validate payment entries in GloPay for inter-company vendors.
  • Prepare and analyze inter-company AP accrual journal for posting to SAP.
  • Prepare inter-company AP invoice-level reconciliations by vendor as required by Global Financial Standards.
  • Prepare and analyze all inter-company General Ledger account reconciliations (126xxxx, 326xxxx, 813xxxx).
  • Prepare any journals as needed for inter-company AR and AP accounts.
  • Review worldwide out of balance (WWOOB) QV Tool data and prepare correcting journals as required.
  • Follow-up and resolve WWOOB differences greater than $500k as required by Global Financial Standards.
  • Provide complete accounting services for financial statements and required analysis.
  • Prepare and complete general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting transactions.
  • Handle inquiries of different levels of complexity.
  • Maintain all detailed process job aides.
  • Ensure financial processes and controls are in place to deliver accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure SLAs and KPIs and operational metrics are achieved and customer expectations are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with United States General Accepted Accounting Principles and 3M Global Financial Standards.
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Possess a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting analytical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within Service Center environment with direct experience with General Ledger, financial statements, and Inter-Company.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced English Level (fluent), written and spoken.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem solver with a client service and quality-oriented mindset.
  • Advanced analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation of data generated by corporate reporting systems.
  • Team-player who can focus on the details.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple deadlines, and organize and prioritize with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience with 3M accounting and business systems including Peoplesoft, SAP and Qlikview.
  • Advanced level in the use of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros.
  • Advanced level in the use of Microsoft Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating, changing, and running queries in a data warehouse environment.
