The FP&A Analytical Center in Costa Rica covers all aspects of the Citi Franchise including : Products, Geographies, Clients, Functions and O&T.

It is part of the Global Finance team.

This position will lead, coordinate and collaborate broadly across local Finance analytical groups to identify opportunities to simplify and streamline strategic processes including tools, data, and methods providing short term analytics, managing the process optimization and driving step change improvements.

This role will be responsible to provide support and leadership to the FP&A organization by working with all of our lines of businesses and other remote groups (Mumbai Analytical Center and onshore partners across North America and LATAM locations) developing process automation and other reengineering solutions to drive business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Strategy & Execution

  • Drive continuous improvement to create efficiencies, improve quality and reduce risk
  • Implement key process that result from data-driven analysis
  • Work independently to extract volume of data and analysis into actionable insights and executive level summaries.
  • Contributes on development of improvement / change strategies through detailed impact and root-cause analysis.
  • Responsible for key initiatives or important facets of overall Finance processes.
  • Assist the team in performing strategic evaluations, identifying potential gaps and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identify common functions across teams that can potentially create synergies by centralizing & consolidating resources and / or simplifying processes
  • Rapidly acquire knowledge of business / function as well as technology
  • Drive development of key insights and actions
  • Analysis & Reporting

  • Provide in-depth analysis and critical thinking by defining problems, developing innovative solutions and making recommendations / standardization
  • Utilize multiple data sources by validating assumptions, driving ideas and publication of data-driven findings & recommending actions and outputs
  • Use assorted tools / technology (MS PowerPoint, Access, Excel, etc.) to automate data gathering and analysis.
  • Understand the process for collecting, analyzing and publishing critical monthly reports
  • Aim to reduce size, make content clear, concise, and compelling for key processes (Plan, Outlook, MYF, CCAR)
  • Well-versed in reporting capabilities & tool assessment studies
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Finance Management and other relevant stakeholders to achieve optimal results and resource savings (measured in time, FTEs, etc.)
  • Review and finalize materials to present to senior management and other partners on bi-weekly / monthly Sprint Readouts
  • Influence remote teams, direct staff and diverse teams to ensure direction is aligned and deliverables are met on time
  • Performance Measures

  • Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in relevant field : Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering or Information Management;
  • Experience in Financial processes is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory / management / leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead efforts / projects on a global large scale level with a focus on process reengineering and process efficiency in financial processes
  • Well-developed communication skills (influencing, negotiation, facilitation, and partnering skills) and ability to present, argue or defend a posture regarding a decision or project.
  • Previous experience in meeting tight deadlines while producing quality work and process reengineering / standardization
  • At least 3 years’ experience in applying a structured methodology to successfully track and plan projects, identify root cause, and design and implement solutions
  • Strong analytical skills preferred; i.e. advanced level data analysis, value stream mapping, capacity analysis, and root cause analysis
  • Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Leadership in motivating, influencing and inspiring people within area of responsibility
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic environment, and to drive transformational projects
  • Highly proficient in the use of desktop tools and software for presentations, consolidation of data and process mapping, i.
  • e. MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel. MS Access and SharePoint is a plus.

  • Lean certification and / or six-sigma certifications a plus
  • Previous Business Office and Consulting experience a plus
