The Worldwide Solution Provider Team is part of the Partner Sales Acceleration Team and responsible for exceeding partner created revenue targets, accelerating partner services capability and capacity, growing advanced technology deployments, and building top talent in globally aligned partner roles.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager and will support the execution of VMware’s Practice Development framework and growing capability and capacity in the worldwide solution provider ecosystem.
Be results and detail oriented, collaborative, assertive, organized and committed to delivering impactful outcomes in a team environment.
This role will interact with supporting Global teams and work with partners who are spread across different GEOs such as Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, and interact directly with partners.
Handle communications and reporting to partners and their account managers
Guide partners thru VMware’s Practice Development process
Support the execution of all aspects of VMware’s Practice Development framework
Receive and troubleshoot issues from Partners for Internal resolution at VMware
Engage with VMware internal teams to ensure adherence to Practice Development process
Executes timely field and Partner support of operational elements key to initiative success
Supports multiple initiatives at a time across multiple solution area
Actively identify risks working with partners and run any potential project challenge
Contribute to development and maintenance of standards, processes, and standard methodologies and best practices
Execute internal PMO processes, quality assurance and time management activities are followed (e.g., change controls, capacity records)
Skills / Requirements :
B.S. / M.S. degree in Business or Engineering
At least 5 years’ experience in a project management role in projects for internal & external customers
Strong technical background, with previous experience with delivery of managing / leading projects
Ability to interact and communicate with Executive level personnel and external customers
Exposure or previous experience sales strategy or sales operations projects
Self-motivated and flexible to deliver high-quality deliverables
Strong organizational skills with an ability to lead challenging client demands
Ability to work within a team and provide the leadership for the project
Excellent communications and social skills
Ability to travel up to 15% percent of the time
Use of formal project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet, Wrike, MS-Project, etc.)
Use of formal enterprise collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, etc.)
Report building experience preferred
Advanced Excel Skills
Experience building MS Excel Macros preferred
Experience in building SQL queries preferred
PMP certification preferred
