Position Summary :

Manage a portfolio of 300 to 600 accounts valued at $9 to $12 million of AR. The candidate will manage all aspects of customer interaction from invoicing to cash and be the primary contact for problem resolution for customers in their portfolio.

Expect a high degree of telephone and email communication with customers, customer service, sales team, and vendors to problem solve and facilitate payment of invoices.

Be able to resolve issues in a professional and customer focused manner while continuing to adhere to credit department policy.

Develop a strong working knowledge of our invoicing system as well as customer systems; Interface with the sales team and IT teams to resolve customer issues around pricing, short shipments, invalid PO numbers, billing method problems, etc.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Records client payments in appropriate accounts, identifies and resolves payment discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve unidentified or unapplied cash.
  • Reconcile Bank Statement daily.
  • Processing of ACHs, Wires, Direct Debits and credit card payments
  • Handle escalated issues by the junior representatives
  • Proactively address to internal requests (reversals, reapplications, adjustments)
  • Contacts customers when necessary to determine proper payment application.
  • Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Ability to prioritize while paying great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Critical thinking, analytical and negotiating skills
  • 2+ years of Cash applications experience.
  • Shared services experience ideally
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to change in a fast paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • SAP / Oracle / Collection System experience preferred
  • Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria :

  • Excel experience
  • Computer System knowledge
