We are looking for a Customer Service Partner to join our Commercial team. This position will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

  • In this role you will be the primary point of contact for Customers and act as an advocate for these customers.
  • You actively build strong relationships with customers and gain an understanding of their business, service needs, drivers and desires amongst others through regular customer visits.
  • Next to that you ensure a smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders.
  • You will proactively track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from the transport plan, including potential solutions or alternatives.
  • You are the owner of all customer issues and engage relevant stakeholders as required to facilitate timely and effective solutions in order to pacify the situation and avoid unnecessary cost.
  • Remain current on changes in local & foreign rules, internal & external procedures and product developments, build and maintain understanding of the cargo you are shipping and requirements that come with it and understanding of cross functional processes and how they link it to your role.
  • In general, you actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders.
  • We are looking for

  • The ideal candidate must have 1 to 2 Years of customer service experience working in commercial areas with preference in shipping or logistics.
  • Candidate must have University studies completed.
  • A high English level is required for this position.
  • We are looking for a positive candidate with great customer service orientation, must be proactive and possess Emotional Intelligence.
  • Nice to Have

  • Education in Logistics or Shipping will be a nice to have
  • Process Improvement courses will be a nice to have.
